Sexuality and especially gender is a changing scene, therefore, it’s important I keep up to date with these changes to ensure that young clients get the best possible counselling support. Experience has taught me that sexual and gender identity is as unique as a fingerprint, it’s self-designed and self-defined. It’s important to me that a young person has a safe, non-judgemental and controversy free relationship to explore, create and grow their own understanding of their sexuality and/or gender whilst being valued as a joyful human creation.
Gender dysphoria is frightening, bewildering and extremely distressing; therefore, I aim to support the individual in managing these feelings and to reduce the harm that can result from being dysphoric or disassociated.
I am qualified and experienced as an online counsellor and can offer counselling/psychotherapy via video, audio, instant messaging, and email. To explore whether counselling by instant messaging or email is suitable for you/your child/young person, please send me a message – you’ll see a contact form on this website.
I aim to help them to be more inclusive, to understand the changing/changed needs of their child/young person, communicate better, and to help the family system evolve to accept their gender diverse family member.
Families counselling is available in person only. I do not provide family counselling online. Children from age 4.
Please contact me if you have any questions, or would like to arrange an appointment. This enables us to discuss the reasons you are thinking of having counselling or supervision, whether it could be helpful for you and whether I am the right therapist to help. You can also call me on 07876200559.
